Worship on Sunday 29th November 2020 - Advent Sunday

We will be live-streaming a Eucharist on Sunday 29th November 2020 (Advent Sunday) and we look forward to welcoming you:

9.30am - Parish Eucharist

The Order of Service can be found here.

There will be two hymns during the service:

Offertory Hymn - Hark, a thrilling voice is sounding! (Edward Caswall 1814-1878)

Hark! A thrilling voice is sounding! "Christ is near," it seems to say. "Cast away the dreams of darkness, O ye children of the day!

Lo, the Lamb so long expected comes with pardon down from heaven. Let us haste, with tears of sorrow, one and all, to be forgiven;

Honour, glory, might, and blessing to the Father and the Son, with the everlasting Spirit while eternal ages run.

Final Hymn - Longing For Light (Bernadette Farrell b1957)

Longing for light, we wait in darkness. Longing for truth, we turn to you. Make us your own, your holy people, light for the world to see.

Christ, be our light! Shine in our hearts. Shine through the darkness. Christ, be our light! Shine in your church gathered today.

Longing for peace, our world is troubled. Longing for hope, many despair. Your word alone has power to save us. Make us your living voice.

Christ, be our light!....

Many the gifts, many the people, many the hearts that yearn to belong. Let us be servants to one another, making your kingdom come.

Christ, be our light!...
