The Cheam Team Ministry takes seriously its responsibility to safeguard all who are involved with and come into contact with our parish, especially children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
We follow the Diocese of Southwark Safeguarding Policy ‘A Safe Church’. This can be found here. In summary, our policy is to:
Respect all individuals;
Take every precaution to protect children and vulnerable adults when involved in church activities;
Ensure those using our buildings know and follow protection guidelines;
Promote good practice by those who work and volunteer with children and vulnerable adults;
Take allegations of concern and abuse seriously;
Put the needs of the child or vulnerable adult first in the case of an allegation.
If you have any safeguarding concerns, please contact one of the below. We commit to taking any concern seriously and addressing it promptly.
