National Lockdown - Suspension Of Public Worship In Cheam Parish

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement yesterday evening of a further national lockdown, we have decided to cease public worship and private prayer in our three parish churches up to and including Sunday 21st February. Although places of worship are able to open under the new measures, cases in our local area remain exceptionally high. We should do all that we can to support the message that we need to stay at home and significantly reduce contact with others.

We will offer a live-streamed Eucharist from St Dunstan’s on Sunday mornings at 9.30am. We are also developing another weekly service which will be pre-recorded – more details of this will follow.

This is an extremely difficult start to the New Year. Many of us will be feeling anxious at recent developments. Those with children will be facing the additional demands of home schooling. Please be assured of our ongoing prayers and do contact us if you have any concerns.

With all best wishes

Nick and Beth
