Family Services at St Dunstan's

Updated: Oct 12, 2020

UPDATE AT 12TH OCTOBER - WE ONLY HAVE A FEW PLACES LEFT - PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO COME

Whilst it has been really good to get some worship going again across our churches, we realise that the services we are offering at the moment are not ideally suited to families, especially those with children of primary school age and younger. We have decided to try a new Family Service which will take place as a trial on a monthly basis until the end of 2020 – at 11.15am on Sundays 18th October, 15th November, and 13th December.

This will be a very simple service and will last no more than half an hour. It will be a ‘shush free’ zone, which means that noise is very welcome! In fact, we would encourage children to bring any toys, games, or colouring along with them.

We will have to follow our Covid guidelines, which mean that:

  • There are 30 places available for each service, including adults and children. Please book a place with Louise in the Parish Office – office@cheamparish.org.uk.

  • Everyone will have to use hand sanitiser on entering and leaving the building.

  • Social distancing must be observed at all times.

  • Those over the age of 11 are required to wear face masks in the church building.

  • Single household groups will be able sit together on one pew. We know it can be hard, but you will have to stay in that pew throughout the service.

  • We are unable to sing together, so the service will just be said.

  • Please do not share toys, games etc with any other household groups.

  • Unfortunately, we are keeping our toilets closed – although we do recognise that there are emergencies.

We look forward to seeing you!
