We have had a lot of fun with the children and young people of our parish during this last month.
We had a Messy Church Goes Wild where we thought about God being light in dark places (you can see some of the autumn sun catchers we made in the picture above).
We had a Light Party to celebrate God’s light as an alternative to the darkness of Halloween and on Halloween night itself we were outside St Oswald's giving Trick or Treaters an opportunity to get some chocolate, but also to light a candle in memory of a love one.
Our Youth group continues to meet regularly and we have been looking at parables this term. The messy hands in the picture above are after making Moon Rocks! We had been thinking about the parable of The Pearl of Great Price and were reflecting on whether we would give up everything for God? And what the most important things in our lives are?
Please pray for all of the families that come to our services and events, that they will experience the love of God.
If you would like to help with any of our childrens or youth services or groups do talk to one of the clergy, we are always happy for more help
